XL Towermate

XL’s TowerMate is designed to haul wind turbine towers using a gooseneck and dolly design. The Cheater style hydraulic gooseneck at the front allows maximum flexibility for going over uneven terrain and efficient hooking and unhooking. Mount the front of the tower using our precision-machined mounting plate and telescoping schabel. The self-steering rear dolly features cradles and strapping points for the tower to safely ride.

Efficient Hookup

  • The patented XL Cheater Neck allows you to slide the kingpin hydraulically
  • The XL Cheater Neck boasts oversized donuts and tapered load pins which allow for faster hookup on uneven ground
  • Seven different ride height positions for easy height and ground clearance adjustment

Premium Safety Features

  • The telescopic schnabel is locked into place using the air chamber for secure travel
  • Load cradles in the center with five strap down points for safely securing the tower section to the dolly
  • Return trip can be made on 3 axles to save tire wear and improve handling
