Drive over uneven terrain with ease. The trunnion design is a shaft that spins in a mounted assembly on each side of the trailer, creating independently pivoting axles called a walking beam suspension. The suspension features greaseless bushings for hassle-free maintenance.
The rear frame of the trailer has a 16-tire, 2-axle design. Drivers can choose from an expanding wheel area, which goes from 8-foot, 6-inches wide to 120″ wide using air cylinders or a static wheel area. The non-expandable version comes standard as a 10-foot wide trailer. The extra width in the wheel area assists with meeting Western axle law requirements.
