XL Specialized Trailers is currently undergoing its third major expansion in five years, a
project that reflects the continued growth of the business and highlights the strong
demand for XL products. Adding approximately 100,000 square feet to the current
manufacturing facility, the expansion will significantly increase the company’s production
capacity while supporting future growth.
The expansion will not only open 100 new manufacturing jobs, but the company is making
substantial investments in new manufacturing capabilities. This includes a second
automotive-style paint booth, a second blast booth, and a new metallization process and
booth that provides both advanced corrosion protection and increased product durability.
XL’s fabrication operations are also receiving significant upgrades, including new laser
cutting, CNC machining, and additional high-precision manufacturing equipment to
improve quality, consistency, and efficiency. The company is also investing in an
Engineering Center of Excellence with the goal of further strengthening product
development, innovation, and engineering capabilities.
