XL Specialized Trailers, a market-leading manufacturer of specialized and heavy haul trailers, exhibits two Ag-specific trailers; a 70 MFG and a 70 HDG— at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa August 28–30. XL Specialized Trailers exhibits in Booth 849 this year.
Both XL units on display feature aluminum pullout outriggers. Ideal solutions for hauling large wheeled equipment, these outriggers extend up to 27”. Sitting on 18” centers with 4,400 lb capacity per aluminum extrusion they haul heavy agricultural equipment with stability. Cleanout holes on the bottom of each extrusion allow water and debris to escape, preventing rust and deterioration.
The XL 70 HDG—Hydraulic Detachable Gooseneck can accommodate large agricultural and construction equipment and handles loads up to 70,000 lbs overall, with a concentrated rating of 70,000 lbs in 10’. The neck provides fast hook-ups with a 7-position variable ride height and a 13HP power unit. This 10’ 5” full-width neck has 1-1/8” Apitong decking and 84” swing clearance.
The main deck of the XL 70 HDG is 29’ long with 18” loaded deck height and 6” ground clearance. 1-3/8” raised Apitong decking with the center covered is designed for increased strength. The full-width rear deck is reinforced for a flip axle.
The XL 70 MFG—Mechanical Full-width Gooseneck is a fully equipped mechanical option capable of loading 70,000 lbs overall, or 70,000 lbs in 16’. The 10’ long goosenecks feature 49” fifth wheel height, 84” swing clearance, double donuts for use with manual ride height suspension, and a toolbox with a lockable lid.
Each of the XL 70 MFG trailer decks has 1-1/8” flush Apitong decking. The main deck is 29’ long with 18” loaded deck height and 6” ground clearance. Ramps taper to 4” and also have aluminum pullouts. 4 bent D-rings and 8 chain slots per side offer tie-down options. The rear bridge is reinforced for a flip axle.
